Connecticut is divided into eight (8) counties. Each county is sub-divided into numerous townships, boroughs, cities, etc. Permit and Fire information is typically obtained at the city, borough, etc. level. Aerial photographs and other historical resources are typically obtained at the county level and local libraries.
